The NBS Living Labs engagement programme will include a multi-actor workshop organized by US involving representatives from financial institutions (e.g. EIB, EBRD, EIOPA), private investors, insurers, NBE community, case stakeholders and other experts organised in collaboration with NetworkNature (Task force Governance, Business Models and Financial Mechanisms). Purpose of the workshop is to bring together these interest groups, discuss task findings and practical validity and applicability of business and financing models including the investor community readiness and take-up. Evidence and insights from Task 3.3 will constitute the basis for developing market creation and for testing innovative business models and investor readiness in WP5.
The process will be informed by the stakeholder mapping in Task 4.1. Collaborative events will be linked to specific our Living Labs existing also provide opportunity for stakeholders to help define and develop the outputs of Invest4Nature, ensuring the resulting products are readily usable, specific to stakeholders’ needs and achieve maximum. Within the case studies, 12 events (3 per case study location) will be featured, each comprising a face-to-face workshop and accompanying webinar. Key tasks for the case studies will include collation and analysis of methodological approaches and data availability (WPs 2 & 3) validating new business models and testing/calibration of the DS Toolbox (WP5). The events will be further supported by an online interactive workspace linked to the Invest4Nature webpage encouraging other emerging NBS projects to join, ensuring the co-development process remains continuous throughout the project and beyond and achieves a strong outreach amongst target audiences creating a wide NBS community. To engage with the wider NBS community we will collaborate with the membership base of over 1500 users on the Connecting Nature Enterprise Platform (CNEP) and 4000+ members of Oppla, in addition to other networks. HNUA will road test the Invets4Nature toolbox with a sample size of up to 50 different user test cases from private developers to community- based organisations, social enterprises, and private suppliers of NBS solutions across a range of NBS types corresponding with the communities of practice on the CNEP.
